Palaeographic description:
Neat and practiced upright cursive hand of the Roman period, using black ink and a somewhat thick pen.
State of preservation:
A rectangular fragment of light brown papyrus preserving the upper left section of a document. A small rectangular section (ca. 2 x 0.5 cm [H x W]) is missing from the beginnings of lines 5-8, and a larger, also rectangular, section (ca. 3.5 x 1.5 cm [H x W]) is missing from the right part of the fragment, removing parts of lines 4-11. There are vertical fold lines at ca. 3, 5 & 6.5 cm from the left edge, dividing the fragment into 4 panels. The rightmost panel is only present in the top right corner. Only the top margin is preserved, measuring 1.5-2 cm. No apparent kollesis. There is an ink smudge on the back and tape strips attaching a loose fragment to the rest.
